PORTALJABAR, KAB. MAJALENGKA – The Creative Center building is now present in Majalengka Regency, which was inaugurated on Wednesday (11/1/2023) by Deputy Governor of West Java Uu Ruzhanul Ulum.

In his remarks, Deputy Governor of West Java Uu Ruzhanul Ulum said, the Creative Center Building is a form of stimulation given to creative actors in West Java, especially to the younger generation to support the creative industry in boosting the economy.

“Youth are those who always make changes in this country, so the construction of the Creative Center Building is a means to provide knowledge and ability for young people to create and imagine,” said Uu Ruzhanul.

Apart from Majalengka, Creative Center Buildings have also been built in other cities and districts in West Java. With the goal, said Uu, as more business actors in West Java will improve people’s welfare and reduce unemployment through a large number of jobs.

“So the construction of the Creative Center is expected to bring benefits so that young people are not only creative in the arts, but also in the economic field,” he said.

The Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Teten Masduki appreciated the construction of the Creative Center Building as a forum for young people who are members of the creative community in Majalengka to continue to grow and develop.

“We want the Creative Center Building to produce local champions in Majalengka who have creative products that are competitive both in the domestic and foreign markets,” said Teten.

“We have to talk about this in the context of community economic reinforcement and current economic power in global competition at the level of innovation and creativity,” he added. Therefore, the Creative Center must really be equipped with various facilities. So it’s not just a means of play, Teten also suggests consulting and business assistance, technical and managerial training and some taking care of halal certification and distribution permits from BPOM, business incubation, including product promotion and marketing.According to him, in the golden year of 2045, quality and creative entrepreneurs must be prepared.”We are currently only around 3.47 percent, even though to become a developed country the minimum is four percent,” said Teten.”So we have to print and produce it. If we look at the benchmark of developed countries, we only need to prepare 10-12 percent of our population to become entrepreneurs. We are only 3.47 percent now,” he said.

Majalengka Regent Karna Sobahi said the Creative Center Building is one of the prides of Majalengka Regency. After two years of going through the COVID-19 pandemic, it is hoped that the presence of this building will be able to improve the economy with the crowds of tourists coming.

Apart from that, Karna hopes that the Creative Center Building can be put to the best possible use for the community.”So that the younger generation in Majalengka Regency will be more creative and innovate and be able to increase their potential in the fields of sports, the economy and the arts,” said Karna.
