TANGERANG, KOMPAS.com – There are 16 firm labor intensive industries will build their factories immediately and absorb new workers up to five years. Labor can be absorbed reached 121,285 up to 2019.
“There are 16 labor intensive projects from 16 companies which have participated to invest and believe that Indonesia is still a great place to invest today,” said Head of BKPM Franky Sibarani at the launch of the intensive investment program of in Tangerang on Monday (5/10 / 2015).
11 companies of them came from the foreign direct investment (FDI) of South Korea, Tawain, Japan, and Singapore. The rest are companies that originating from domestic investment (DCI).
The total value of investment of sixteen companies reached to Rp 18.9 trillion. The companies are PT Chang Shin Mutual Jaya, PT. Adis Dynamics Sentosa, PT Feng Tay Indonesia Enterprise, PT Parkland World Indonesia, PT Always Love Indonesia, PT Seng Dam Jaya Abadi (leather, leather goods, and shoes).
Other companies are PT Sri Rejeki Isman PT Jaya Perkasa Textile, PT Rayon Utama Makmur, PT Nesia Pan Pacific Clothing, PT Eco Smart Garment Indonesia, PT Delta Merlin World Textile, PT Delta Merlin Clothing Textile, PT Apparel One Indonesia, and PT Jaya Perkasa Textile (textile industry). There is also a food and beverage company, PT Sari Vegetable Broth.
Franky describes all the new factory will be built in Bandung, Cianjur, Garut, Majalengka, Sumedang, Boyolali, Jepara, Sukoharjo, Wonogiri, Sragen, Salatiga, and Semarang. “It is an anomaly. The absorption of labor is still high but on the other hand the industries are close,” Franky said sarcastically.
To keep the investment flowing, Franky said BKPM will help to facilitate the industrial troubles immediately. “We see, there are still many industries need workers just like who present this afternoon,” he said
